■ San Diego State 19, Boise State 13 —

At Boise, Idaho, Jordan Byrd scored on a 72-yard run for the Aztecs (4-1, 1-0), who limited the Broncos (3-2, 1-1) to 229 yards of offense. Brett Rypien, who entered having not thrown an intercepti­on all season for Boise State, threw two in the first half. The Broncos had more points (seven) than yards of offense (2) in the first quarter, scoring after recovering a muffed punt at the 4. Starting quarterbac­k Christian Chapman (knee) and leading rusher Juwan Washington (collarbone) didn’t play for San Diego State.

■ Air Force 35, Navy 7 —

At Colorado Springs, Colo., D.J. Hammond ran for three touchdowns and threw a 61-yard TD pass for the Falcons (2-3) after being sidelined for one quarter from two helmetto-helmet collisions in the opening minutes. Linebacker Taylor Heflin was penalized for targeting on one of the hits and subsequent­ly was ejected. Garret Lewis opened the scoring in the second quarter with a 2-yard TD run for the Midshipmen (2-3).

■ No. 12 Central Florida 48, Southern Methodist 20 —

At Orlando, Fla., McKenzie Milton threw for 278 yards and two touchdowns for the Knights (50, 2-0), one of three unbeaten teams in the American Athletic Conference, who extended the nation’s longest win streak to 18 games. UCF also got two TD runs from Otis Anderson and one from Trysten Hill.

James Proche had 12 catches for 100 yards and two TDs for the Mustangs (2-4, 1-1).
