At College Park, Md., Dwayne Haskins Jr. threw for 405 yards and three touchdowns and ran for three TDs for the Buckeyes (10-1, 7-1), who amassed 688 yards, including 203 on the ground by J.K. Dobbins. Freshman Anthony McFarland ran for 298 yards, including TDs of 81 and 75 yards in the first quarter, for the Terrapins (5-6, 3-5), who totaled 535 yards of offense and led by two TDs in the third quarter. Ohio State never led until overtime and won on Maryland’s failed 2-point conversion pass in the extra session.
■ No. 16 Penn State 20, Rutgers 7— At Piscataway, N.J., Trace McSorley threw two touchdown passes to tight end Pat Freiermuth for the Nittany Lions (8-3, 5-3), who converted two turnovers by the Scarlet Knights (1-10, 0-7) into TDs, had 11 tackles for losses and held Rutgers to 46 yards passing. The win was McSorley’s 30th as a starter, a program record.
■ Oklahoma State 45, No. 7 West Virginia 41 — At Stillwater, Okla., Taylor Cornelius passed for 338 yards, ran for 106 more and threw a touchdown to Tylan Wallace with 42 seconds left to rally the Cowboys (6-5, 3-5) from a 10-point fourthquarter deficit. Will Grier, whose 6-yard TD run on fourth down put the Mountaineers (8-2, 6-2) up 41-31, led West Virginia to the Oklahoma State 14 but failed to connect with David Sills V on the final play.
■ No. 13 Texas 24, Iowa State 10— At Austin, Texas, Sam Ehlinger ran for a touchdown and passed for another before leaving with a shoulder injury for the Longhorns (8-3, 6-2), who held the Cyclones (6-4, 5-3) to 224 yards of offense. Freshman Brock Purdy, who had guided Iowa State to five straight wins, was 10 of 23 passing for 130 yards and absorbed five sacks.

■ No. 24 Northwestern 24, Minnesota 14 — At Minneapolis, Isaiah Bowser ran for 85 yards and two touchdowns, and safety Nate Hall had two interceptions and a tackle on a fourth-and-1 stop for the At Waco, Texas, Jalen Reagor turned a short pass into a 65-yard score in the second quarter and scored the go-ahead TD on a 37-yard run on a fourth-and-1 reverse in the third quarter for the Horned Frogs (5-6, 3-5), who lost quarterback Michael Collins to a right ankle injury in the first quarter. At Louisville, Ky., Ryan Finley threw for 316 yards and four touchdowns, and Reggie Gallaspy Jr. ran for two TDs and caught a scoring pass for the Wolfpack (7-3, 4-3), who totaled 518 yards of offense. The Cardinals (2-9, 0-8) gave up at least 50 points for the fourth straight game and sixth time this season.

Rocky Lombardi was 15 of 41 passing for 146 yards for the Spartans (6-5, 4-4), who limited Nebraska to 248 yards of offense.
■ Iowa 63, Illinois 0 — At Champaign, Ill., Nate Stanley threw for 178 yards and three touchdowns, and Mekhi Sargent ran for 121 yards and two TDs on 17 carries for the Hawkeyes (7-4, 4-4), who held a 400231 edge in yards of offense and dealt the Illini (4-7, 2-6) their most decisive loss since 1906. that led to TCU points.

Miami 38, Virginia Tech 14— At Blacksburg, Va., Cam’Ron Davis scored on a 42-yard run and a 16-yard reception for the Hurricanes (6-5, 3-4), who halted a four-game slide. The Hokies (4-6, 3-4) lost their fourth straight and fourth in a row at home for the first time since 1973 and 1974.
■ North Carolina 49, Western Carolina 26 — At Chapel Hill, N.C., Nathan Elliott threw for 308 yards and two touchdowns, and Javonte Williams ran for 93 yards and three scores for the Tar Heels (2-8), who amassed 654 yards of offense and halted a six-game slide. Tyrie Adams passed for 290 yards and ran for 104 yards and two TDs for the Catamounts (3-8), who lost their eighth in a row.
