■ SAN DIEGO STATE 13, Brigham Young 3: Redshirt freshman Carson Baker was 19 of 24 passing for 172 yards and a go-ahead TD for the Aztecs (9-3), who halted a five-game win streak by the Cougars (7-5).

Safety Tariq Thompson had a strip-sack fumble recovery and an interception for San Diego State, which had lost six straight to BYU.

Baker, who played at nearby Helix High, never had taken a college snap before getting the start in place of senior Ryan Agnew, who is out with a left calf injury.

Zach Wilson was 31 of 53 passing for 316 yards for the Cougars. He was intercepted twice and lost a fumble.

■ AIR FORCE 20, Wyoming 6: Donald Hammond III was 5 of 6 passing for 121 yards and a TD and ran for a score for the Falcons (10-2, 7-1), who won their seventh straight and beat the Cowboys (7-4, 4-4) for the first time in the teams’ past four meetings.

Hammond’s TD pass was a 75-yarder to Ben Waters. Air Force safety Jeremy Fejedelem intercepted two tipped passes, with both setting up field goals by Jake Koehnke.

Levi Williams and Tyler Vander Waal split time at quarterback for Wyoming, with Williams finishing 6 of 11 for 84 yards and Vander Waal 4 of 7 for 27 yards.

The Falcons’ win streak is their longest in a season since they won eight in a row in 1998, which also is the last time they finished with 10 or more wins in the regular season.

■ Utah State 38, NEW MEXICO 25: Jordan Love threw three TD passes to three receivers for the Aggies (7-5, 6-2), who gained bowl eligibility for the eighth time in nine seasons and dealt the Lobos (2-10, 0-8) their ninth loss in a row.

Gerold Bright ran for 113 yards and a TD for Utah State, which took advantage of two fumble recoveries and an interception to score four second-quarter TDs.

Freshman Trae Hall, in his first start at quarterback for New Mexico, ran for 115 yards and two TDs and threw two scoring passes in Bob Davie’s final game as Lobos coach.

New Mexico had six losing seasons in eight years under Davie, including three in a row. The Lobos finished without a conference win for the first time since 1990.
