Ravens’ Peters fined for drinking with fans

A celebratory drink cost Baltimore cornerback Marcus Peters five figures.

The NFL fined the two-time Pro Bowl selection $14,037 for “unsportsmanlike conduct” for drinking a beer after his pass breakup sealed the Ravens’ Week 14 win at Buffalo. After knocking down Bills quarterback Josh Allen’s fourthdown pass at the Baltimore 1 with 1:03 left, Peters jumped into a New Era Field section filled with Ravens fans and shotgunned a can of beer as he lay back in their arms.

■ Bears: Defensive tackle Akiem Hicks (elbow) was activated from injured reserve, and tight end Ben Braunecker (concussion) was placed on IR. Hicks, 30, was hurt in Chicago’s Week 5 loss to the Raiders. The Bears allowed more than 100 yards rushing in one of their first five games with Hicks; opponents cleared that threshold in five of the eight games Hicks missed.

■ Broncos: Nose tackle Kyle Peko was signed off Indianapolis’ practice squad, defensive tackle Deyon Sizer was promoted from Denver’s practice squad, linebacker Ahmad Gooden was waived, and wide receiver Juwann Winfree (hamstring) was placed on IR.

■ Colts: Cornerback Kenny Moore (ankle) was ruled out for Monday, and the status of wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (calf, questionable) will be a gametime decision, coach Frank Reich said. Pro Football Focus grades Moore No. 16 among 131 qualified cornerbacks this season.

■ 49ers: Defensive end Kentavius Street (knee) was activated from IR, and defensive tackle D.J. Jones (ankle) was placed on IR.

■ Lions: Running back Wes Hills and offensive tackle Dan Skipper were promoted from Detroit’s practice squad, and linebacker Jarrad Davis (knee, ankle) and guard Joe Dahl (knee, back) were placed on IR.

■ Panthers: Wide receiver Chris Hogan (knee) was activated from IR, and offensive tackle Greg Little (ankle) was placed on IR. Hogan has been sidelined since Week 5.

■ Saints: Coach Sean Payton said he expects tight end Jared Cook (concussion, questionable) to play Monday.
