Grillo holds on for one-stroke Mayakoba Classic advantage

Emiliano Grillo steadied himself with two birdies over the final six holes for a 3-underpar 68 in the Mayakoba Classic, leaving him at 16-under 197 and with a one-stroke lead entering the final round in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Tom Hoge (65) birdied four of the last five holes and was alone in second. Viktor Hovland (63) was another shot back, with Adam Long (63) three back and alone in fourth.

■ LPGA: At The Colony, Texas, rookie Yealimi Noh closed the Volunteers of America Classic’s third round with a double bogey in an even-par 71, dropping the 19-year-old American into a tie with Bishop Gorman product Inbee Park (69) and So Yeon Ryu (65) atop the leaderboar­d at 4-under 209. Topranked Jin Young Ko (70) and six others were one shot back.

■ European PGA: At Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 204th-ranked Antoine Rozner of France won the Golf in Dubai Championsh­ip by two strokes for his first tour title, shooting 8-under 64 in the final round for a 25-under 263 total. Mike Lorenzo-Vera (65), Francesco Laporta (66), Matt Wallace (68) and thirdround leader Andy Sullivan (70) tied for second.

■ European PGA: At Sun City, South Africa, Christiaan Bezuidenho­ut buoyed his chances for a second straight win, shooting a third straight 5-under 67 in the South African Open for a 15-under 201 total and a five-stroke lead entering the final round. Dylan Frittelli (70) and second-round leader Jamie Donaldson (72) were tied for second.
