Bernard J. Lucido, 68, and Laura M. (Wahl) Lucido, 68, both of Las Vegas, Nev., passed away unexpected­ly Monday, Nov. 9, 2020, and Friday, Oct. 23, 2020 at Spectrum Health at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph, Mich. while visiting family. Bernie, born in Pittsfield, Mass., July 20, 1952, was a 10-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force, a long-time Lion of West Charleston Lion’s Club and and an informatio­n technology specialist for more than 40 years. The last 17 years were with the City of North Las Vegas. Laura, born in St. Joseph, Mich. August 7, 1952, spent 30 years in the accounting industry. Both were members of the Moose Lodge in Pahrump, Nev. They celebrated 35 years of marriage this past September. Family and friends were the utmost importance to them, and they were loved by all who had the pleasure of meeting and knowing them. Bernie and Laura were predecease­d by their parents. Survivors include their four children, Constance of Carson City, Nev., Bernard of Carson City, Joseph of Sparks, Nev., and Rachel of Las Vegas; twelve grandchild­ren; and two great-grandchild­ren; sisters, brothers, and many cousins. They enjoyed visiting family and friends where they cherished the moments laughing, sharing a bottle of wine and stories. They particular­ly enjoyed camping in their 5th wheel through out Nevada, California, and Arizona; launching custom, high-powered rockets with the Tripoli Rocket Club of Las Vegas; and even tried their hand at gold mining. Their home was a gathering place, and all were welcome anytime. They were outstandin­g parents, children, siblings, grandparen­ts, great-grandparen­ts, godparents, aunts and uncles, cousins and friends and always made you feel stronger, braver, smarter, and loved.
