CONNIE KETZENBERGER

-

Connie Ketzenberger, 80, entered into God’s Kingdom on January 24, 2021, peacefully and at home. Connie was born in Lima, Ohio on Nov. 24, 1940 to the late Maxine Kroplin. Connie, a likeable young lady, had numerous friends and fell in love with one of them, marrying Larry Ketzenberger, also of Lima, on December 29, 1957. Together they headed to Las Vegas where Larry was serving at Nellis Air Force Base. She liked to travel, and with her loving husband, vacationed frequently to Florida and Hawaii. She enjoyed the ocean and took cruises to Alaska and the Caribbean with friends. On their 50th Anniversary, Larry and Connie went on a special cruise around the Hawaiian Islands with their family. In 1993, Connie suffered a massive stroke that took away her ability to talk and write (aphasia), but she didn’t let that stop her. She faced her new obstacle with courage, strength, and dignity. She continued to travel and actively engage life. In the past few years, she developed vascular dementia and Alzheimer’s, which eventually took her life. She leaves behind three children: Julie Creighton (John), David Ketzenberger (Colleen), and Lora Horn (Jeffrey), along with five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, as well as a step-granddaughter and two step-great-grandchildren. Connie is also survived by her husband of 63 years, her brother Ronald Kroplin, and her sister, Pam Bryan. Viewing will be at 9 a.m. at Palm Mortuary Cheyenne. Services will also be live streamed on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 10 a.m. For more info, go to: https:// www.dignitymemorial.com/ obituaries/ las-vegas-nv/ connie-ketzenberger-10021736
