Chychrun, Keller deliver as Coyotes throttle Blues

ST. LOUIS — Defenseman Jakob Chychrun scored twice, and Clayton Keller had a power-play goal and an assist as the Arizona Coyotes beat the St. Louis Blues 3-1 on Saturday.

Keller, a St. Louis native, put Arizona ahead to stay when he beat rookie Ville Husso through the goaltender’s legs 10:44 into the second period. Chychrun opened the scoring 2:50 into the first and had an empty-net goal in the final minute to back Darcy Kuemper, who had 23 saves.

Robert Thomas scored 4:05 into the first period for the Blues but left with a upper-body injury 5½ minutes later after Coyotes center Nick Schmaltz tripped him. Husso stopped 16 shots in his third start.

■ Canadiens 2, Senators 1: At Ottawa, Ontario, Josh Anderson scored the go-ahead goal 1:35 into the third period to back Jake Allen, who had 34 saves, and coach Claude Julien notched his 200th win with Montreal.

■ Flames 6, Oilers

4: At Calgary, Alberta, Dillon Dube scored the go-ahead goal 2:56 into the third period and had and assist, and Johnny Gaudreau had a goal and an assist in Calgary’s three-goal third period.

■ Maple Leafs 5, Canucks 1: At Toronto, Auston Matthews scored twice to extend his goal streak to seven games, Wayne Simmonds also scored twice, and Mitch Marner had three assists.

■ Ducks 2, Sharks 1, SO: At Anaheim, Calif., Matt Comtois scored the decisive shootout goal to back Ryan Miller, who had 26 saves through overtime and two in the shootout.

■ Islanders 4, Penguins 3: At Uniondale, N.Y., Anders Lee scored a go-ahead power-play goal with 2:44 left for New York to back Semyon Varlamov, who had 28 saves.
