Cowboys go two OTs, top No. 6 Texas

STILLWATER, Okla. — Cade Cunningham scored five of his 19 points in the second overtime, including a contested 3-pointer with 1:33 left, to help Oklahoma State beat No. 6 Texas 75-67 on Saturday.

Kalib Boone led the Cowboys (12-5, 5-5 Big 12) with 22 points, 15 rebounds and five blocks, including two in the second overtime. The Longhorns (11-5, 5-4) shot 25 percent and had 21 turnovers.

Andrew Jones had 17 points for Texas, which had 22 offensive rebounds and 18 steals. The Longhorns trailed 35-29 at halftime but held OSU to 24 second-half points.

the Lake 46: At Houston, Cameron Tyson hit 10 3-pointers and totaled 32 points for the Cougars (16-2), who held the NAIA Saints (1-4) to 25-percent shooting.

■ No. 9 Oklahoma 79, Iowa State

72: At Norman, Okla., the Sooners (12-5, 7-4 Big 12) went ahead to stay with an 11-0 run after trailing 58-57. The Cyclones (2-11, 0-8) made 16 of 31 3-point tries but were 11-for-40 (27.5 percent) inside the arc.

■ No. 18 Missouri 68, No. 10 Alabama 65: At Columbia, Mo., the Tigers (13-3, 6-3 Southeaste­rn) led by 20 points with six minutes left and then made no more field goals. The Crimson Tide (15-5, 10-1) missed two potential go-ahead shots in the last 20 seconds.

■ No. 11 Tennessee 82, Kentucky

71: At Lexington, Ky., Keon Johnson scored 27 points for the Volunteers (13-4, 6-4 SEC), who had two 12-0 runs in the second half. The Wildcats (5-12, 4-6) led by 10 with 12 minutes left.

■ No. 12 Illinois 75, No. 19 Wisconsin 60: At Champaign, Ill., Ayo Dosunmu had 21 points, 12 assists and 12 rebounds for the Illini (13-5, 9-3 Big Ten), who shot 54 percent. The Badgers (14-6, 8-5) were outrebound­ed 46-18.

■ No. 13 Texas Tech 73, Kansas State 62: At Manhattan, Kan., Mac McClung had 23 points for the Red Raiders (14-5, 6-4 Big 12), who made their final seven shots. The Wildcats (5-15, 1-10) never led and had 18 turnovers.

■ No. 14 Virginia 73, Pittsburgh

65: At Charlottes­ville, Va., Sam Hauser scored 10 of his 23 points in a 23-9 stretch than enabled the Cavaliers (13-3, 9-1 Atlantic Coast) to put away the Panthers (9-6, 5-5).

68: At Milwaukee, the Bluejays (145, 10-4 Big East) built a 12-point second-half lead and repaid the Golden Eagles (9-10, 5-8) for a 89-84 home loss from Dec. 14.

■ No. 16 Virginia Tech 80, Miami 76, OT: At Coral Gables, Fla., Hunter Cattoor hit a tying 3-pointer at the second-half buzzer and two free throws with four seconds left in overtime for the Hokies (14-4, 8-3 ACC). The Hurricanes (7-11, 3-10) trailed by 11 in the second half.

■ Southern California 66, No. 21 UCLA 48: At Los Angeles, Ethan Anderson scored 19 points for the Trojans (15-3, 9-2 Pac-12), who tied the Bruins (13-4, 9-2) atop the league standings.

■ No. 17 West Virginia 91, No. 23 Kansas 79: At Morgantown, W.Va., Miles McBride had 29 points for the Mountainee­rs (13-5, 6-3 Big 12), who shot 50 percent. The Jayhawks (12-7, 6-5) never led and had 18 turnovers.

■ No. 24 Purdue 75, Northweste­rn 70: At West Lafayette, Ind., Jaden Ivey had 20 points for the Boilermake­rs (13-7, 8-5 Big Ten) in their ninth straight win over the Wildcats (6-10, 3-9), who have lost nine in a row.

■ No. 25 Drake 80, Valparaiso

77: At Valparaiso, Ind., ShanQuan Hemphill started a late 11-0 run with a dunk and totaled 18 points for the Bulldogs (18-0, 9-0 Missouri Valley). The Crusaders (6-12, 3-6) are 1-43 against ranked foes since 1997-98. MOUNTAIN WEST ■ Colorado State 68, Wyoming
