Louis Alexander Steblay, age 82, of Las Vegas Nevada, passed away on Monday, February 8, 20201 after a battle with cancers. He earned an MBA from University of Oklahoma, credited to his parents and elder siblings instilled in him the importance of an education. He was a retired Lieutenant Colonel, served for 25 years in the U.S Air Force. He also worked as a Project Manager in telecommunication that responsible for set up and maintain most of the cellular phone towers, especially for major Hotels and Casinos in Las Vegas. He enjoyed family time. He loved to play board games and Schmear with his grandson (Jace). He also loved to watched the Vikings play and drink a Budweiser during football season. Every year, he looked forward to his July trip to Minnesota to see his nieces, nephews and their families. He also visited his hometown of Eveleth for his High School Reunion to see his old friends. Aside from his yearly trip to Minnesota, we (Jeff, Lynna, & Jace) were able to take our Dad to Maui, Hawaii back in 2018, where he thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel staff even nicknamed him "Mr. Vegas", he thought it was amusing. Our Dad often tell stories about his Mom and Dad and the home he grew up in, among other stories. He was the MOST kind, gentle and caring person. He was a dedicated husband to our late mother (Marilyn Steblay), father, grandfather. He survived by his loving son (Jeff), daughter-in-law (Lynna), widowed daughter-in-law (Nancy) and four grandchildren (Monica & Jace, Michelle & Mikayla), nieces, nephews and other relatives. He will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts. We love you Lou (AKA Lexy).
