THOMAS (TOM) GEE

-

On Wednesday, February 10, 2021, Thomas (Tom) Gee, loving husband and father, passed away at the age of 79 from Covid19. Tom was born on December 13, 1941 in Buffalo, New York to Elmer and Genevieve Gee. He served in the Air Force and spent the better part of his career in Transportation planning trade shows. In the last years of his life, Tom worked as a rehabilitation technician for those who suffered from traumatic brain injury. Many patients wrote Tom cards thanking him for the difference he made in their lives. Tom married his one true love, Cindie on March 4, 1972 and true to their vows they remain married even today. Together Tom and Cindie raised their daughter Jennifer and provided a loving home for many beloved pets. Tom was preceded in death by his father Elmer Gee Sr., mother Genevieve Gee and eldest brother Elmer Gee Jr. He is survived by his wife Cindie Gee, daughter Jennifer Wood, son in law Scott Wood, brothers Ronald Gee and Dennis Gee, sisters in law Barbara Gee and Linda Gee as well as nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and friends near and far. There isn’t a person who met Tom that wasn’t impacted in a positive way from his presence. An avid Buffalo Bills fan, he was as loyal to his team as he was to the people he loved. If crossword puzzles were a competitive sport, he would have been the reigning champion. At one time Tom was on track to compete in the probowling circuit but instead devoted himself to being the best soccer and softball coach to his daughter and her team who adopted him as their weekend Dad. He was the best Dad. His humor, compassion and protective nature made everyone feel valued and seen. The world was a better place with him in it and his impact will be felt forevermore. Due to Covid-19 an online only Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, March 4th, 2021. This is also the date of Tom and Cindie’s 49th wedding anniversary and will be a tribute to their love. The link to the online service and start time will soon be available at tomgeecele brationoflife.com. For those who wish to make a donation, the following charities were near and dear to Tom’s heart. Let us also honor his wish that we be good to one another always: Stand Up to Cancer and Golden Retriever Rescue Southern Nevada.
