Mavs end short-handed Nets’ win streak at eight

NEW YORK — Luka Doncic scored 27 points, Kristaps Porzingis added 18 in his return from injury, and the Dallas Mavericks snapped the Brooklyn Nets’ eight-game win streak with a 115-98 victory Saturday. James Harden had 29 points for the Nets, but only four after halftime while playing as Brooklyn’s solo superstar. Kevin Durant (left hamstring strain) missed his seventh straight game, and Kyrie Irving rested his surgically repaired right shoulder.

That took more than 56 points per game away from the NBA’s highest-scoring team, and Brooklyn couldn’t keep up with a Dallas club that shot 52 percent. Porzingis missed the previous three games with lower back tightness.

■ Cavaliers 112, 76ers 109, OT: At Philadelph­ia, Collin Sexton scored 28 points and Darius Garland 25 for Cleveland in its first road win since Jan. 7. Joel Embiid had 42 points and 13 rebounds for Philadelph­ia (2212), which is 14-3 at home.

■ Wizards 128, Timberwolv­es 112: At Washington, Bradley Beal had 34 points and Russell Westbrook 19 points, 14 rebounds and 12 assists for Washington, which won for the seventh time in eight games and dealt Minnesota its seventh loss in a row.

■ Nuggets 126, Thunder 96: At Oklahoma City, Jamal Murray had 26 points and Nikola Jokic 19 points, 13 assists and 11 rebounds for Denver, which shot 55 percent and moved to 3-0 against Oklahoma City

this season.

■ Knicks 110, Pacers 107: At New York, Julius Randle scored 28 points and R.J. Barrett 24 for New York (1717), which reached .500 for the first time since Jan. 21 and dealt Indiana its third straight loss.

■ Jazz 124, Magic 109: At Orlando, Fla., Donovan Mitchell scored 31 points for Utah, which improved to 6-1 following a loss and 25-0 when leading after three quarters.

■ Spurs 117, Pelicans 114: At San Antonio, DeMar DeRozan had 32 points and 11 assists for San Antonio, which handed New Orleans its seventh loss in 10 games.
