VACCINE LOCATIONS IN CLARK COUNTY

-

The number of COVID-19 vaccination sites has expanded in the Las Vegas Valley, and information changes quickly as the state receives additional doses.

More residents are now eligible. This includes those age 65 and up, health care workers, public safety and security, and all subgroups of Frontline Community Support and Frontline Supply Chain and Logistics group, which includes Uber, Lyft and taxi drivers, communication workers, agriculture and food processing, warehouse and grocery workers, manufacturing, transport, NDOT workers and frontline airport workers among others. Appointments can be booked on the Southern Nevada Health District site as well as the new state portal.

SNHD received its first allotment of the new single-dose vaccine — 15,100 doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, according to a news release. The doses will be sent to hospitals and clinics run by the health district and other “community partners.”

Veterans of any age also can receive their vaccine on a walk-in basis during normal vaccine clinic hours (weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.) at the VA’s North Las Vegas facility. SECOND DOSES — A SAMPLING

Second-dose appointments are available at the Cashman Center for anyone who received the Pfizer vaccine. Find the site in Exhibit Hall B, 850 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

The recommended interval for second shots is 28 days for the Moderna vaccine and 21 days for Pfizer, although they can be administered up to 42 days after the first shot, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The district will be taking only those who got their first doses at these sites or events: the health district offices on Decatur Boulevard, Cashman Center, Western High School, Jerome Mack Middle School and vaccination clinics hosted by Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Henderson and Touro University.

People with questions or who need assistance making appointments can call the health district at 702-759-1900.
