Three Square Food Bank has added three new members to its board of directors: Lindy Schumacher, chief executive officer of the Fulfillment Fund Las Vegas; Catherine Raw, chief operating officer of North America region for Nevada Gold Mines Operated by Barrick, and Kirk Miller, interim president/chief operations officer for Intermountain Healthcare.
Virgin Hotels, which is set to launch a new hotel-casino in Las Vegas on March 25, has named James Bermingham, a former Montage International executive, as CEO, effective immediately.
“For over a decade, we have been devoted to providing entertaining and unforgettable experiences for our guests, and I can think of no one better than James to spearhead this effort as we continue to grow the brand on a global scale,” Richard Branson, founder of the Virgin Group, said in a Monday news release.
Bermingham has more than 35 years of experience in the hospitality industry, according to the release.
Alston Construction has promoted Matt Clafton, previously vice president and general manager for the Nevada region, to senior vice president and regional manager for Nevada, Oregon and Washington. He brings 28 years of construction expertise including 18 years with Alston Construction to his role.
UNLV’s Lee Business School announced new members of the Alumni Board of Directors. The group is comprised of notable business and community leaders, led by incoming president Erica Suciu of Nevada State Bank.
Suciu is a two-time graduate of UNLV holding a bachelor’s in business management and master’s in business administration. Other board officers are Andrew Kerzmann, vice president; Ray O’Campo, treasurer; Aerielle Smith, secretary; D.J. Allen, immediate past president; and Rick Arpin, member-at-large.
New members to the board are Charles E. Gianelloni of Snell & Wilmer LLP; and Bryan M. Viellion of Kaempfer Crowell.
Ioneer Ltd., an American lithium-boron supplier, has appointed Rose McKinneyJames as one of two new independent non-executive directors on its board.
McKinney-James is a Nevada-based expert in environmental business and technology policy, renewable and clean energy advocacy, and sustainable development. “Rose brings with her decades of experience in ESG and sustainability governance, advocacy and strategy, and is uniquely positioned to support ioneer as we grow to become the largest domestic supplier of lithium and an important voice in electrification in the United States,” said ioneer Executive Chairman James Calaway.
