Fox’s late free throws lift Kings to win over Magic

De’aaron Fox hit tying and go-ahead free throws with 21.2 seconds left and totaled 31 points to lead Sacramento past host Orlando 109-107 on Saturday.

Domantas Sabonis had 21 points and 14 rebounds and Keegan Murray 22 points for the Kings, who won for the third time in four games.

Jonathan Isaac matched his career high with 25 points for the Magic. Paolo Banchero added 22 points and Franz Wagner 18 for Orlando, which had won five in a row and 10 of its previous 12. Banchero missed a long 3-point try at the buzzer.

Isaac drew an ovation when he was taken out after an eight-minute stretch of the first half in which he produced 17 points, four rebounds and a block of Sabonis.

Sabonis scored five points in a 13-0 third-quarter run that put Sacramento up 74-65, the largest lead for either team.

■ Rockets 147, Jazz 119: At Houston, Jalen Green scored 41 points for Houston, which hit a season-high 27 3-pointers in 49 tries and won its eighth in a row. Fred Vanvleet hit a single-game franchise record-tying 10 3s and totaled a seasonhigh 34 points for the Rockets, whose win streak is their longest since an eight-game run in November 2019. John Collins scored 25 points for Utah, which lost its fifth in a row and eighth in nine games.

■ Suns 131, Spurs 106: At San Antonio, Devin Booker scored 32 points before sitting out the fourth quarter for Phoenix, which shot 59.6 percent, never trailed and led by as many as 32 in its third straight win and fourth in five games. Victor Wembanyama had 13 points, five rebounds and four assists in 21 minutes for San Antonio in its third straight loss and sixth in seven games.

■ Wizards 112, Raptors 109: At Washington, Deni Avdija had 22 points and 13 rebounds for Washington, which won a second straight game for the third time this season and avoided falling below Detroit for the NBA’S worst record. Gary Trent Jr. scored 31 points for Toronto, which was outrebound­ed 55-42 in its 10th straight loss.

■ Hawks 132, Hornets 91: At Atlanta, Dejounte Murray hit seven 3-pointers and totaled 28 points and 12 assists for Atlanta in its first home win over Charlotte since Nov. 20, 2021. Bruno Fernando scored a career-high 25 points for the Hawks, who had lost five of their previous six games. The Hornets have lost four in a row.

■ Celtics 124, Bulls 113: At Chicago, Jayson Tatum scored 26 points, and Sam Hauser and Al Horford added 23 apiece for Boston, which hit 21 3-pointers in its ninth straight win and 20th in 22 games. Demar Derozan had 26 points for Chicago, which trailed 66-60 at halftime.

■ Knicks 105, Nets 93: At New York, Donte Divincenzo scored 31 points and Miles Mcbride 26 for New York, which won for the fifth time in six games and improved to 3-0 against Brooklyn this season. The Nets lost their sixth in a row and eighth in nine games.
