Anthony Pettis (18-5) vs. Charles Oliveira (21-5, 1 No Contest)
Class: Featherweight Line: Pettis minus-200 Storyline: Pettis, a former lightweight champion, is in desperate need of a win. He will drop to 145 pounds in hopes of getting it, though it won’t be easy against a talented featherweight in Oliveira. Pettis lost the belt to Rafael dos Anjos in March 2015, then lost his next two fights. Oliveira has won five of his past six, as he finally appears to be harnessing his explosive ability. This is a fascinating style matchup, as Pettis, a flashy striker, takes on one of the sport’s slickest submission artists. Oliveira has the capability of striking at a high level, but probably would be best served to avoid that scenario against Pettis.
