Argument turns violent; man stabbed several times in NLV

A man is in critical condition after being stabbed multiple times Friday in North Las Vegas, police said.

Officers responded to reports of a stabbing around 2 p.m. at 770 West Lone Mountain Road near Camino Al Norte. Officers found a man in his 30s suffering from multiple stab wounds, said Ann Cavaricci of the North Las Vegas Police Department.

The investigat­ion indicates that the male victim had been visiting an apartment and an argument broke out, Cavaricci said. A suspect is in custody, she said

The victim was taken to University Medical Center. young military veterans who are part of the Nevada Conservati­on Corps to work supporting the Sloan Canyon National Conservati­on Area and the Basin and Range National Monument.

The effort is funded by the NV Energy Foundation through a $75,000 grant to Conservati­on Lands Foundation.

The foundation­s launched the effort last year with Friends of Sloan Canyon, the Nevada Conservati­on Corps and staff from the Bureau of Land Management and renewed it for a second year starting Friday. First up on the agenda was adding signs and doing trail repair at Anthem Hills Park in Henderson.

The judge told Bundy lawyer Marcus Mumford on Thursday that she will fine him $1,000 each time he raises the Finicum issue while questionin­g witnesses.

“I have ruled on this issue and it appears to me you disregard it,” Brown told him while jurors were away.

The trial resumes Monday after a threeday weekend.
