SEATTLE SEAHAWKS 37, SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS 18

-

At CenturyLink Field, Seattle ■ RECAP: Russell Wilson suffered a slightly sprained left knee that sidelined him early in the second half, but by then the Seahawks (2-1) were well on their way to routing the 49ers (1-2).

Coming off two games in which Seattle scored only 15 points, Wilson passed for 243 yards and a touchdown. He was hurt with about 10 minutes to go in the third quarter when he was pulled down awkwardly on a sack by Eli Harold. Harold was called for a horse collar penalty.

Wilson stayed down on the field for a few moments before walking off. He missed a play because of injury for the first time in his career, but returned almost immediately — perhaps without coaches’ approval — to throw one more pass.

The completion led to the third of Steven Hauschka’s three field goals for a 27-3 lead and Wilson’s day was over.

Wilson was 15 of 23, including an 18-yard TD to Jimmy Graham. His replacement, rookie Trevone Boykin, threw the first career TD pass, a 16-yarder to Baldwin, who had eight catches for a career-high 164 yards. Christine Michael gained 106 yards on 20 carries, including TDs of 41 and 4 on Seattle’s first two drives.

Carlos Hyde two 8-yard TD runs in the fourth quarter for San Francisco, but the 49ers had only five first downs entering the quarter and missed on their first 10 third-down attempts. Blaine Gabbert was 14 of 25 for 119 yards, no TDs and an interception. ■ QUOTABLE: “Fortunate. I don’t think it’s as severe as it looked.” — Wilson, on his knee injury ■ NEXT: Seahawks (-1) at Jets, 10 a.m. Sunday; Cowboys (-1½) at 49ers, 1:25 p.m. Sunday
