■ Nationals 10, Braves 5 — At Washington, Ryan Zimmerman hit his

18th and 19th home runs of the season in his return from back soreness, and the Nationals scored five sixth-inning runs against R.A. Dickey (4-5) to snap a fourgame slide.

■ Padres 6, Reds 2 — At San Diego, Clayton Richard (5-7) carried a shutout into the ninth inning, Franchy Cordero homered twice and San Diego handed Cincinnati its fifth straight loss. Richard allowed eight hits while striking out six.

■ Cardinals 6, Brewers 0, Game 1 — At St. Louis, Jose Martinez hit a pair of solo homers and St. Louis won the opener of a day-night doublehead­er. Martinez connected in the fifth and eighth innings for his first multi-homer game.

■ Brewers 8, Cardinals 5, Game 2 — At St. Louis, Keon Broxton and Travis Shaw each hit solo home runs and combined for five RBI to help Milwaukee split its daynight doublehead­er. Shaw’s eighth inning single broke a 5-5 tie.
