■ Rangers 10, Mariners 4 — At Arlington, Texas, Tyson Ross (1-0) held Seattle to two runs in 5 2/3 innings in his Texas debut in his first start in 14 months, and Carlos Gomez homered and totaled four RBIS in his return from the disabled list.

■ Red Sox 2, Astros 1 — At Houston, Mookie Betts hit his team-leading 12th home run, and third in three games, to break an eighth-inning tie for Boston. Brian Mccann hit a tying homer in the seventh for Houston.

■ Athletics 7, Yankees 6 — At Oakland, Calif., Matt Chapman hit a go-ahead two-run single in the eighth for his first career hit in his second game in the majors. Aaron Judge and Sierra Vista product Chris Carter homered for New York.

■ White Sox 11, Blue Jays 4 — At Toronto, Melky Cabrera homered, doubled and drove in five runs against his former team, and Jose Quintana (3-8) allowed two runs on five hits over seven innings in his first win since May 2.

■ Indians 8, Twins 1 — At Minneapoli­s, Carlos Carrasco (7-2) held Minnesota to one run on four hits and struck out seven in 6 1/3 innings as Cleveland pulled within one game of the Twins atop the AL Central.

■ Royals 3, Angels 1 — At Anaheim, Calif., Lorenzo Cain hit two solo home runs and an RBI single, and Ian Kennedy (1-6) retired Los Angeles’ first 17 batters en route to ending his 16-start winless streak.

■ Tigers 13, Rays 4 — At Detroit, Nicholas Castellano­s tripled, doubled and drove in four runs to back Daniel Norris (44), who gave up three runs and struck out eight in six-plus innings for Detroit. totaled four RBIS, and DJ Lemahieu had four hits for the second straight game to help rookie Antonio Senzatela (9-2) tie for the majors’ wins lead.

■ Dodgers 3, Reds 1 — At Cincinnati, Alex Wood (7-0) held Cincinnati to one run on four hits and no walks and struck out five in eight innings and added an RBI single, handing the Reds their seventh straight loss.

■ Marlins 5, Braves 0 — At Atlanta, Dan Straily (5-4) blanked Atlanta on four hits and struck out eight over 6 1/3 innings, Christian Yelich drove in three runs, and Justin Bour homered in his first game off the disabled list.

■ Brewers 6, Padres 5 — At Milwaukee, Eric Thames hit is 19th home run of the season in the 10th inning, Milwaukee’s first walk-off homer of the year. Wil Myers hit a three-run shot in

San Diego’s four-run first.

■ Diamondbac­ks 5, Phillies 4 — At Philadelph­ia, Gregor Blanco hit a tying two-run homer, and Jake Lamb drove in the go-ahead run with a sacrifice fly in the seventh to rally Arizona.
