Woman predicted her death on Facebook page

Relationsh­ip’s turn detailed in posts

A series of chilling Facebook posts document the tumultuous relationsh­ip Stella Martinez had with her ex-boyfriend before he was accused of killing her.

In several posts, Martinez predicted her own death and recounted her failed efforts to get help from police.

“I’ll be dead before (they) do anything,” she wrote in a Facebook comment in January.

The prediction proved true. Martinez, 39, died June 23 from brain injuries she received during afightwith­amanjune3.

Las Vegas police have said a patrol officer saw her ex-boyfriend, Christophe­r Wood, choking her and pulling out her hair.

Afterward, she had no pulse. Wood, 41, faces a murder charge.

Uncoordina­ted signals are problem

Every day, Bernie said his drive onbluediam­ondroadisa“pain in the neck” because the street’s signal at Valley View Boulevard is not synched with the nearby signal at Dean Martin Drive in the southwest Las Vegas Valley.

“When the light turns green for

the light at Valley View, it turns red at Dean Martin, creating gridlock at both intersecti­ons because there is no continuity on the road,” Bernie said.

Officials with the Nevada Department­oftranspor­tationandt­he Regional Transporta­tion Commission of Southern Nevada said they will take a look at the signal timing for these intersecti­ons.
