■ Astros 8, Yankees 1 — At Houston, Yuli Gurriel finished a triple shy of the cycle, and Carlos Correa had four hits and three RBIS for Houston, which had seven doubles among its 14 hits.
■ Royals 6, Twins 2 — At Kansas City, Mo., Alcides Escobar had two hits and two RBIS for Kansas City, Scott Alexander (1-2) posted his first major league win, and the Royals tied Minnesota for second in the AL Central.
■ Indians 11, Tigers 8 — At Detroit, Jose Ramirez homered twice and drove in four runs for Cleveland, which lit up Justin Verlander (5-5) for seven runs on nine hits and three walks in 3 1/3 innings.

■ Marlins 10, Brewers 3 — At Milwaukee, Marcell Ozuna hit two home runs, the second moments after having his bat thrown out by umpire Hunter Wendelstedt for having too much pine tar on it, to back winner Dan Straily (6-4).
■ Giants 5, Pirates 3 — At Pittsburgh, Brandon Belt started San Francisco’s comeback with an RBI single in a three-run seventh and added a two-run homer in the eighth as the Giants won their sixth straight.
