■ Red Sox 15, Blue Jays 1 — At Toronto, Mookie Betts went 4-for-6 with two home runs and eight RBIS, and Drew Pomeranz (8-4) held Toronto to one run on five hits in six innings as Boston capped a three-game sweep.

■ Astros 8, Yankees 1 — At Houston, Yuli Gurriel finished a triple shy of the cycle, and Carlos Correa had four hits and three RBIS for Houston, which had seven doubles among its 14 hits.

■ Royals 6, Twins 2 — At Kansas City, Mo., Alcides Escobar had two hits and two RBIS for Kansas City, Scott Alexander (1-2) posted his first major league win, and the Royals tied Minnesota for second in the AL Central.

■ Indians 11, Tigers 8 — At Detroit, Jose Ramirez homered twice and drove in four runs for Cleveland, which lit up Justin Verlander (5-5) for seven runs on nine hits and three walks in 3 1/3 innings.

■ Orioles 7, Rays 1 — At Baltimore, Kevin Gausman (5-7) shut out Tampa Bay on two hits and two walks and struck out nine in seven innings, and Manny Machado hit a three-run homer.

■ White Sox 6, Rangers 5 — At Chicago, Yolmer Sanchez hit a two-run homer with two outs in the eighth to rally Chicago, which dealt Texas’ bullpen its Alleading 17th blown save.

■ Mariners 5, Angels 3 — At Anaheim, Calif., Robinson Cano hit a three-run homer in the eighth to back James Paxton (6-3), who held Los Angeles to one run on two hits in 6 1/3 innings.

■ Diamondbac­ks 4, Rockies 3 — At Phoenix, Ketel Marte lined a walk-off RBI single in the ninth as Arizona overcame the first earned run allowed by closer Fernando Rodney (3-2) in 21 games.

■ Phillies 7, Mets 1 — At New York, rookie Nick Pivetta (2-4) held New York to one hit — a home run by T.J. Rivera — over seven innings, and Maikel Franco had a two-run double in Philadelph­ia’s four-run second.

■ Marlins 10, Brewers 3 — At Milwaukee, Marcell Ozuna hit two home runs, the second moments after having his bat thrown out by umpire Hunter Wendelsted­t for having too much pine tar on it, to back winner Dan Straily (6-4).

■ Giants 5, Pirates 3 — At Pittsburgh, Brandon Belt started San Francisco’s comeback with an RBI single in a three-run seventh and added a two-run homer in the eighth as the Giants won their sixth straight.
