■ Blue Jays 4, Yankees 1 — At New York, CC Sabathia was chased during a four-run third inning in his return from the disabled list, with Kendrys Morales hitting a two-run single that helped Toronto stop a five-game losing streak.

■ Athletics 7, White Sox 6 — At Oakland, Calif., Franklin Barreto homered in the ninth inning, Yonder Alonso went deep twice and Oakland snapped a seasonhigh six-game losing streak. Barreto hit a towering fly ball off Tommy Kahnle (0-3) to left.

■ Royals 7, Mariners 3 — At Seattle, Whit Merrifield hit the first pitch of the game from Felix Hernandez (3-3) for his seventh home run, Mike Moustakas added his 24th homer of the season, and Kansas City won for the fifth time in six games.

■ Red Sox 11, Rangers 4 — At Arlington, Texas, Andrew Benintendi went 5 for 5 with two homers, six RBIS and a terrific catch in left field, and David Price (4-2) threw six scoreless innings as the Boston stretched the longest winning streak in the majors to six games.

■ Twins 5, Angels 4 — At Minneapoli­s, Kyle Gibson (5-6) pitched into the seventh to snap his three-game winless streak, Byron Buxton hit his fifth homer and Minnesota handed Los Angeles its third straight loss.

■ Marlins 5, Cardinals 2 — Atst. Louis, Christian Yelich hit a three-run homer, Jose Urena (7-3) tossed five solid innings and Miami handed St. Louis just its second loss in seven games. Dee Gordon had three hits for the Marlins.

■ Pirates 3, Phillies 0 — At Philadelph­ia, Jameson Taillon (5-2) struck out a career-best nine in five innings, Andrew Mccutchen hit a pair of solo homers and Pittsburgh ended a four-game losing streak. Taillon allowed four hits.
