■ Astros 8, Orioles 7 — At Baltimore, Yuli Gurriel had a home run among his four hits, fellow Houston rookie Colin Moran hit his first homer and first triple in his first game of the season, and Mike Fiers (7-4) held Baltimore to one run and fanned nine in seven innings.

■ Yankees 5, Mariners 1 — At Seattle, Aaron Judge hit a 440-foot three-run homer, a drive that came within three rows of becoming the first to leave Safeco Field, and CC Sabathia (9-3) held Seattle to one run in five innings.

■ Royals 7, White Sox 6 — At Kansas City, Mo., Whit Merrifield hit a two-run double in the fourth and a walk-off sacrifice fly in the 10th as Kansas City overcame a 5-1 deficit after two innings and dealt Chicago its seventh straight loss.

■ Rangers 4, Rays 3 — At St. Petersburg, Fla., Elvis Andrus hit a first-inning home run and snapped a tie in the 10th with a two-out infield RBI single as Texas halted a fivegame skid. Yu Darvish struck out 12 in eight innings.

■ Red Sox 6, Angels 2 — At Anaheim, Calif., Chris Sale (12-4) shut out Los Angeles on four hits and struck out nine in six innings, lowering his Al-best ERA to 2.48, and Boston scored five first-inning runs off Ricky Nolasco (4-11).

■ Indians 13, Blue Jays 3 — At Cleveland, Edwin Encarnacio­n went 3-for-4 with a home run and four

RBIS against his former team, and Cleveland broke open a close game with an eight-run seventh.

■ Tigers 6, Twins 3 — At Minneapoli­s, Victor Martinez hit two home runs for Detroit, which lost Miguel Cabrera to a right clavicle contusion in the fourth. Ervin Santana (11-7) allowed five runs in 3 1/3 innings. and Pittsburgh teammate Andrew Mccutchen had three hits and reached base five times as the Pirates totaled 18 hits and won their sixth straight to move within two games of first in the NL Central.

■ Cardinals 11, Cubs 4 —

At Chicago, Paul Dejong hit a tiebreakin­g two-run double in a nine-run eighth by St. Louis that included six walks by three relievers as the Cardinals halted Chicago’s sixth-game win streak.

■ Phillies 6, Brewers 1 — At Philadelph­ia, Aaron Nola (7-6) held Milwaukee to one run on five hits and struck out nine in seven innings as Philadelph­ia won its third straight and dealt the Brewers their sixth straight loss.

■ Marlins 3, Reds 1 — At Cincinnati, Jose Urena (8-4) held Cincinnati to one run on three hits in six-plus innings, and Christian Yelich drove in two runs as the Reds fell to 1-7 on their 10-game homestand.
