Kansas City 20-0 — their first run of three straight shutouts since 1956.

■ Yankees 10, Mariners 1 — At New York, Masahiro Tanaka (10-10) held Seattle to one run and struck out 10 in seven innings after entering 0-6 with an 11.81 ERA in seven day starts, and the Mariners committed five errors in the first.

■ Astros 7, Angels 5 — At Anaheim, Calif., Brian Mccann hit a three-run triple in the eighth after Houston loaded the bases with two outs off Cam Bedrosian (3-3). Albert Pujols flied out with the bases loaded to end the game.

■ Athletics 8, Rangers 3 — At Oakland, Calif., Matt Olson and Matt Chapman hit back-to-back home runs in the second as Oakland capped a three-game sweep and dropped Texas three games behind Minnesota for the second AL wild card.

■ Orioles 2, Red Sox 1 — At Boston, Adam Jones and Trey

Mancini hit consecutiv­e RBI doubles in the first off Doug Fister (3-7), and Baltimore held on to cap a threegame sweep.

■ White Sox 7, Tigers 1 — At Chicago, Matt Davidson homered to back Lucas Giolito (1-1), who yielded three hits over seven scoreless innings for his first major league win in his second start with Chicago. four hits over 6 2/3 innings, to outduel Yu Darvish (8-10) in his return from the disabled list.

■ Diamondbac­ks 11, Giants 0 — At Phoenix, Patrick Corbin (12-11) blanked San Francisco over seven-plus innings, and J.D. Martinez’s second homer of the game was sandwiched between blasts by Paul Goldschmid­t and Daniel Descalso.

■ Mets 6-4, Nationals 5-5 — At Washington, rookie Amed Rosario hit a tiebreakin­g home run in the eighth for New York in the opener. In the nightcap, four straight walks — three by Hansel Robles (7-5) — helped rally Washington to a split.

■ Rockies 3, Braves 0 — At Atlanta, Jon Gray (6-3) shut out Atlanta on five hits and struck out seven over six-plus innings to outduel Mike Foltynewic­z (10-10), and Mark Reynolds hit a two-run homer.

■ Pirates 5, Reds 2 — At Cincinnati, John Jaso and Starling Marte each drove in two runs for Pittsburgh, and last-place Cincinnati left 11 runners on base, including three in the ninth.
