— At Oakland, Calif., Kendall Graveman (5-4) held Houston to one run over six innings, and Astros ace Dallas Keuchel (12-4) walked in two runs and forced in another by hitting a batter in the sixth as Oakland capped a fourgame sweep.

Yankees 16, Rangers 7 — At Arlington, Texas, Aaron Judge and Gary Sanchez each homered twice for New York, which moved 3 1/2 games ahead of Minnesota for the AL’S top wild card and closed within 3 1/2 games of AL East-leading Boston.

Royals 11, Twins 3 — At Kansas City, Mo., Jason Vargas (15-10) gave up one run on four hits in five innings to snap his four-game skid and set a career high for wins, and Brandon Moss homered and drove in four runs.

Angels 5, Mariners 3 —

At Seattle, Justin Upton hit a tiebreakin­g two-run double in the eighth, and Mike Trout and Luis Valbuena homered for Los Angeles, which closed within one game of Minnesota for the second AL wild card.

Blue Jays 8, Tigers 2 — At Toronto, Teoscar Hernandez hit his first two home runs of the season to back J.A. Happ (8-10), who held Detroit to one earned run over six innings. Chatwood (7-12), who blanked Los Angeles over five innings, as the NL West-leading Dodgers lost their 10th straight game for their worst skid in 25 years.

At Atlanta, Rio Ruiz hit a tying two-run single with two outs in Atlanta’s three-run ninth, and Lane Adams hit a walk-off two-run homer in the 11th. Dee Gordon broke a tie in the eighth with his first career pinch home run for Miami.

Brewers 3, Cubs 1 — At Chicago, Travis Shaw hit a two-run homer, and Zach Davies (17-8) held Chicago to one run on seven hits over seven innings as Milwaukee capped a three-game sweep and pulled within two games of the first-place Cubs.
