Cardinals RB Johnson likely headed to IR with wrist injury

Arizona Cardinals running back David Johnson has a dislocated wrist that could require surgery and likely is headed to injured reserve, coach Bruce Arians said.

Arians said the initial prognosis for Johnson is the same as it was for rookie running back

T.J. Logan, who was expected to miss 12 weeks after suffering a dislocated wrist in August.

If Johnson, 25, goes on IR, he would be required to miss eight weeks.

■ Cowboys: The NFL filed an appeal of the injunction of running back Ezekiel Elliott’s sixgame suspension that permitted him to play Sunday. Also, cornerback Orlando Scandrick has a broken left hand and will miss at least one game, coach Jason Garrett said.

■ Eagles: Cornerback Ronald Darby suffered a dislocated right ankle in Philadelph­ia’s Week 1 win but reportedly will not require surgery. Also, kicker Caleb Sturgis suffered a strained quadriceps in his plant leg and is expected to miss several weeks.

■ Colts: Quarterbac­k Andrew Luck, sidelined while recovering from offseason shoulder surgery, was ruled out for Indianapol­is’ Week 2 game against Arizona, coach Chuck Pagano said.

■ Texans: Five players — linebacker Brian Cushing, wide receiver Bruce Ellington and tight ends C.J. Fiedorowic­z, Ryan Griffin and Stephen Anderson — are in concussion protocol.

■ Patriots: New England is replacing its artificial turf field after one regular-season game because of what some players said was a surface with too much give.

■ Jaguars: The NFL said a decision is pending on where Sunday’s game against Tennessee will be played after Hurricane Irma hit Jacksonvil­le over the weekend.

■ Bears: Wide receiver Kevin White is headed to injured reserve with a fractured scapula and is likely to miss at least three months, coach John Fox said.

■ Lions: Punter Kasey Redfern suffered three torn knee ligaments and a bone bruise in Detroit’s Week 1 win and will miss the rest of the season.

■ Steelers: Defensive end Stephon Tuitt is considered week to week with a biceps injury, the NFL Network reported.

■ Titans: Safety Johnathan Cyprien will miss “a few” weeks with a hamstring injury, coach Mike Mularkey said.

■ Broncos: Kicker Brandon Mcmanus agreed to a three-year, $11.2 million extension with Denver.
