Lions fan loses tickets after racist social media posting

A Detroit Lions fan who posted a racist message on social media lost his season tickets, the Detroit News reported.

The team banned the unidentified fan from Ford Field in the wake of an incident during Detroit’s season opener against Arizona.

The fan posted a photo on Snapchat of two African-americans who remained seated during the national anthem and added a caption: “Ignorant (expletives).”

The fan initially denied the posting, which ended up on Facebook and was sent to multiple media outlets. It’s unclear if the season-ticket ban is for just this season or permanent.
