Wood’s hat trick rallies Devils past Blackhawks

CHICAGO — Miles Wood had three goals for his first career hat trick and added an assist to help New Jersey Devils rally for a 7-5 win over the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday.

Rookie Nico Hischier had a goal and two assists, and Andy Green, Taylor Hall and Brian Gibbons also scored for the Metropolit­an Division-leading Devils, who won their second straight.

Keith Kinkaid stopped 39 shots for New Jersey, which overcame a 4-1 deficit with five unanswered goals.

At Anaheim, Calif., J.T. Brown scored the go-ahead goal with 12:42 left to back Andrei Vasilevski­y, who had 28 saves, as Tampa Bay avenged one of its two regulation losses this season.

At Washington, T.J. Oshie scored the lone shootout goal to back Braden Holtby, who stopped 29 shots through overtime and all three Edmonton shootout attempts.

At Los Angeles, Joel Ward scored the go-ahead goal with 7:10 left to back Martin Jones, who had 26 saves, as San Jose won for the sixth time in its past seven games.
