U.S. routed by Germany, caps winless Deutschland Cup run

Dominik Kahun assisted on goals by Frank Mauer, Brent Raedeke and Brooks Macek as Germany beat the United States 5-1 at the Deutschland Cup finale in Augsburg, Germany.

The U.S. outshot Germany 28-19 but fell to 0-3-0 in the Olympic tuneup tournament following losses to Slovakia and Russia. The U.S. outshot opponents 95-60 but scored just four goals and allowed 12.

The U.S. was the lone team not to win in the four-team event.

Women: At Tampa, Fla., Hannah Brandt scored twice and Dani Cameranesi had four assists as the U.S. beat Canada 5-1 to win its third straight Four Nations Cup title and eighth overall.
