Police, CPS Investigating how child Ingested meth
A 7-year-old boy was taken to a hospital early Friday after he ingested methamphetamine.
Las Vegas police are investigating after the child was taken by his parents to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center about 3 a.m., according to Metropolitan Police Lt. Peter Kisfalvi.
Child Protective Services called the police to alert them, Metropolitan
Police Department spokesman Aden Ocampogomez said.
Although initial reports indicated the boy was hospitalized in serious condition, Ocampogomez said he was never admitted and was determined to be OK.
Ocampogomez said Metro is interviewing the child’s parents to figure out how he ingested the drug. Vegas Boulevard just south of the sign. The crash happened at the southbound exit from the center median, which houses a parking lot for the sign.
Police said a limousine with about six occupants was exiting the lot. The motorcycle was driving south in the left lane.
“That motorcyclist perceived that the limousine was pulling in front of it,” Metro Sgt. Robert Stauffer said. The rider braked, and the bike turned onto its right side before hitting the limousine. The rider was thrown into the center southbound lane.
Police were working to determine whether a third vehicle, which remained at the scene, hit the motorcyclist after he was thrown or hit the motorcycle itself.
