Quick, Kings end Flyers’ six-game winning streak
PHILADELPHIA — On a night when the focus was on streaks, the Los Angeles Kings ended two of them while keeping the Philadelphia Flyers out of the record book.
Adrian Kempe jumped out of the penalty box and scored a key third-period goal, Jonathan Quick made 36 saves and the Kings ended the Flyers’ six-game win streak with a 4-1 victory Monday.
The Kings had won eight straight before starting a fourgame trip 0-2-1. They moved two points ahead of Vegas atop the Pacific Division.
The Flyers were trying to tie an NHL record by becoming the first team since the 1966-67 Toronto Maple Leafs to immediately follow a 10-game winless streak with seven straight victories.
■ At Newark, N.J., Stefan Noesen scored on a rebound with 4:07 left and added an empty-net goal, and Myles Wood also scored twice for New Jersey.

At Boston, Jake DeBrusk scored and set up two goals to back Tuukka Rask, who improved to 6-0-1 in his past seven starts.
