Quick, Kings end Flyers’ six-game winning streak

PHILADELPH­IA — On a night when the focus was on streaks, the Los Angeles Kings ended two of them while keeping the Philadelph­ia Flyers out of the record book.

Adrian Kempe jumped out of the penalty box and scored a key third-period goal, Jonathan Quick made 36 saves and the Kings ended the Flyers’ six-game win streak with a 4-1 victory Monday.

The Kings had won eight straight before starting a fourgame trip 0-2-1. They moved two points ahead of Vegas atop the Pacific Division.

The Flyers were trying to tie an NHL record by becoming the first team since the 1966-67 Toronto Maple Leafs to immediatel­y follow a 10-game winless streak with seven straight victories.

■ At Newark, N.J., Stefan Noesen scored on a rebound with 4:07 left and added an empty-net goal, and Myles Wood also scored twice for New Jersey.

At Boston, Jake DeBrusk scored and set up two goals to back Tuukka Rask, who improved to 6-0-1 in his past seven starts.

At Denver, defenseman Tyson Barrie scored twice for Colorado, which beat Pittsburgh for the second time in a week.

■ At Edmonton, Alberta, Ryan Strome scored twice for Edmonton.
