Gordon stars as Rockets rally to 14th win in row

HOUSTON— Eric Gordon scored 17 of his season-high 33 points in the fourth quarter to power a run that put the Houston Rockets on top, and they cruised to their 14th straight win, 120-99 over the Utah Jazz on Monday.

Houston used a 15-0 spurt early in the fourth to take the lead and was up by four midway through the quarter. The Rockets then scored 11 points in a row, capped by two 3-pointers from Gordon to make it 111-96.

James Harden added 26 points, and Clint Capela had 24 points and 20 rebounds in the Rockets’ 20th win in 21 games.

Rodney Hood scored 26 points off the bench for the Jazz, who have lost six of their past seven.

■ At Indianapol­is, Terry Rozier’s steal and dunk with 1.5 seconds left capped Boston’s frantic rally from a five-point deficit with 31 seconds left. Kyrie Irving hit two 3-pointers during the surge and totaled 30 points. Victor Oladipo scored 12 of his 38 points in the final two minutes for Indiana, which took its first lead with 53 seconds to go.

■ At Los Angeles, Kevin Durant hit a tiebreakin­g 22-foot jumper with 7.3 seconds left in overtime and totaled 36 points for Golden State, which won its ninth straight. Los Angeles retired Kobe Bryant’s two jersey numbers during a halftime ceremony.

■ At Minneapoli­s, Jimmy Butler put Minnesota ahead with two free throws with 2.5 seconds left and totaled 37 points. Jamal Crawford scored 16 of his 23 in the fourth quarter for the Timberwolv­es, who trailed by 10 with 7½ minutes left.

■ At San Antonio, Kawhi Leonard scored seven points in 16 minutes in the first half in his home debut this season.

The All-star forward, who lost the season’s first 27 games of the season to injury, had scored in double figures in 110 straight games.

■ At Oklahoma City, Russell Westbrook scored 16 of his 38 points in the fourth quarter, including a tiebreakin­g free throw with 2.3 seconds left, as Oklahoma City overcame a 10-point deficit in the final period.

■ At Chicago, Nikola Mirotic and Kris Dunn scored 22 points apiece, and Mirotic added 13 rebounds for Chicago, which had seven double-figure scorers in its sixth straight win.

■ At Charlotte, N.C., Frank Kaminsky scored 15 of his 24 points in the first half and didn’t miss a shot until the fourth quarter, finishing 10 of 13 for Charlotte.

■ At Atlanta, Taurean Prince scored 24 points and Dennis Schroder 23 for Atlanta. Josh Richardson scored 26 for Miami, which had only nine healthy players.

Len had 14 points and 14 rebounds for Phoenix, which took its first second-half lead in the final 7½ minutes.
