Titans’ Murray figures to miss Jaguars game

Tennessee running back Demarco Murray is expected to miss the Titans’ regular-season finale against Jacksonvil­le on Sunday because of a lateral collateral ligament sprain in his right knee, NFL Network reported.

The 29-year-old Bishop Gorman product was hurt with 2:23 left in Tennessee’s Week 16 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. He has run for 659 yards at an average of 3.6 per carry and scored seven touchdowns this season.

The Titans (8-7) can clinch a playoff berth with a win Sunday.

Chargers: Running back Melvin Gordon suffered an ankle injury late in Los Angeles’ Week 16 win over the Jets, and his status for Sunday’s game against Oakland is uncertain, coach Anthony Lynn said.

Giants: Pro Bowl safety Landon Collins sustained a fractured right forearm in New York’s Week 16 loss at Arizona and will miss the Giants’ season finale, ending his run of 47 straight starts.

Jaguars: Wide receiver

Jaelen Strong suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in Jacksonvil­le’s Week 16 loss at San Francisco and will miss the rest of the season.
