Ex-texas A&M coach Sumlin to join Arizona
Former Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin was hired to be Arizona’s coach and is expected to sign a five-year contract, pending board of regents approval.
Sumlin, 53, was fired in November after going 51-26 in six seasons, including 25-23 in Southeastern Conference play, and reportedly had been in the mix for numerous jobs, including at Arizonastate.
He replaces Rich Rodriguez, who was fired Jan. 2 amid sexual harassment allegations.
