Trump questions interest in Middle East peace
JERUSALEM — President Donald Trump questioned whether Palestinians and Israelis are interested in making peace with each other in an interview published Sunday, spotlighting West Bank settlements as a complicating factor.
“Right now, I would say the Palestinians are not looking to make peace, they are not looking to make peace,” Trump said in the interview with the Israel Hayom daily. “And I am not necessarily sure that Israel is looking to make peace. So we are just going to have to see what happens,” Trump was quoted as saying.
Israel Hayom is owned by the Adelson family, which also owns the ReviewJournal.
