Canada tops Russia; U.S. downs Finland

Rebecca Johnston had two goals and an assist, and Melodie Daoust scored twice as Canada shut out the Russians 5-0 in the country’s quest to keep its golden grip on women’s hockey. Canada has won four straight gold medals.

The United States rallied to beat Finland 3-1 to remain unbeaten when opening an Olympic tournament. Monique Lamoureaux-morando, Kendall Coyne and Dani Cameranesi scored for the Americans.
