Colts hire Reich, aide with Eagles, as coach

The Indianapol­is Colts hired Philadelph­ia Eagles offensive coordinato­r Frank Reich as coach, returning him to the franchise where he started his coaching career as an intern in 2006.

Reich, 56, reportedly agreed to a five-year deal and will be introduced to the media Tuesday. He played quarterbac­k in the

NFL for 14 seasons, mostly as a backup, with four teams.

The hiring came five days after New England offensive coordinato­r Josh Mcdaniels reneged on a deal to take the Colts’ job.
