Men’s golf’s Ban lands to watch list for award

UNLV senior Shintaro Ban was included on the 2018 Ben Hogan Award Watch List, which was announced Wednesday by the Hogan Trophy Award Foundation, the Friends of Golf (FOG) and the Golf Coaches Associatio­n of America (GCAA).

The Ben Hogan Award presented by Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. (Konica Minolta) is issued annually to the top men’s NCAA Division I, II or III, NAIA or NJCAA college golfer taking into account all collegiate and amateur competitio­ns during a 12-month period from June to May.

Ban, who was recently named a candidate to compete in the 2018 Arnold Palmer Cup, leads the Rebels in scoring average this season with 69.60 per round.

Draft: Fox Sports will broadcast the NFL draft this season, along with the NFL’S usual television partners of ESPN and NFL Network. Fox will show the same feed as the NFL Network.
