Lillard scores 44 points in Blazers’ win

Portland overcomes 50-point game by Warriors’ Durant

PORTLAND, Ore. — Damian Lillard had 44 points and eight assists, and the Portland Trail Blazers overcame Kevin Durant’s 50 points to snap a seven-game losing streak to the Golden State Warriors with a 123-117 victory on Wednesday night.

CJ Mccollum added 29 points for the Blazers, who go into the All-star break six games over .500 (32-26).

Durant added seven rebounds and six assists, but Golden State had its three-game winning streak snapped.

It was Durant’s fifth career 50-point game and first this season.

The Blazers led by as many as 20 points in the first half but the Warriors got within a point in the third quarter.

Klay Thompson’s 3-pointer narrowed it to

99-96 before Stephen Curry’s 3 tied it at 99 with 7:10 left.

The Warriors couldn’t get ahead and Lillard’s 3-pointer put Portland ahead 109-101 with 5:05 to play.

— At Memphis, Tenn., Paul George scored 28 points, Russell Westbrook added 23 points in his 17th triple-double of the season, and Oklahoma City survived a second-half Memphis rally.

— At New Orleans, Anthony Davis had 42 points and 15 rebounds, and New Orleans won its third in a row heading into the All-star break. Davis went 15 for 18 from the field.

— At Houston, James Harden had 28 points, nine rebounds and nine assists, and Houston fought off a late rally to get its 10th straight win. The Rockets have won 17 of their last 19 games.

— At New York, Bradley Beal scored 36 points, and Washington overcame a 27-point deficit to beat slumping

New York. New York has lost a season-worst eight straight games.

— At Boston, DeAndre Jordan had 30 points and 13 rebounds and Los Angeles won for the fourth time in five games. Tobias Harris added 21 points for the Clippers.

— At Salt Lake City, Donovan Mitchell scored 24 points, Royce O’neale had a career-high 19 and Utah won its 11th straight game. Derrick Favors had 18 points and 12 rebounds for the Jazz.

— At Chicago,

Kyle Lowry had 20 points and 10 assists, Serge Ibaka also scored 20 points and Toronto cruised into the All-star break with its seventh straight victory.

— At Philadelph­ia, Ben Simmons had a triple-double and short-handed Philadelph­ia came back from a 24-point second-half deficit to defeat Miami.

— At Detroit, Ish Smith had 22 points and nine assists, Blake Griffin narrowly missed a triple-double and Detroit ended a three-game losing streak.

— At Orlando, Fla., Dwight Howard had 22 points and 13 rebounds, and Charlotte stopped a four-game slide. Kemba Walker had 20 points for Charlotte on 6-for-19 shooting.

— At New York, Victor Oladipo scored 25 points, Corey Joseph added 15 points and 11 assists, and Indiana won its third straight game as it heads into the All-star break.
