Skyline Casino faces possible $4,000 fine
The operators of Henderson’s Skyline Casino could face disciplinary action for failing to report hirings and departures of its gaming employees to gaming regulators.
The Nevada Gaming Commission on Thursday is scheduled to consider a complaint from the state Gaming Control Board that Northumberland LMG Corp. continually failed to notify regulators about at least 19 employees who left their Skyline jobs since May 2016.
A proposed settlement agreement signed by the board and by Skyline President Jim Marsh suggests the Boulder Highway casino be fined $4,000 and that at least one employee engaged in regulatory compliance attend an employee registration class at least once a year for at least two years.
According to the three-count complaint filed earlier this month by the board through the attorney general’s office, from May to Oc- tober 2016, the company failed to submit monthly hiring reports to the board as required by the 15th of every month. Those reports ultimately were filed Nov. 21, 2016.
Hiring reports for November 2016 through September 2017 were received on Oct. 18, according to the complaint.
Reports for October and November hadn’t been received as of Jan. 10.

Aug. 16, 2016, through at least Oct. 27, 2017. Board investigators determined that the guard’s gaming employee registration expired Aug. 16, 2016, meaning that he worked at least 14 months under an expired
registration.
The complaint narrative said Control Board agents emailed the company four times since August 2016 about the missing reports before calling the casino’s general manager on Oct. 17.
The complaint, signed Feb. 6, would be the first disciplinary action requested by the board in 2018 and the first signed off by new Control Board Chairwoman Becky Harris.
The Gaming Commission will consider the complaint and the proposed stipulated settlement agreement at its scheduled Thursday meeting in Las Vegas. The casino is not expected to contest the findings.
