locate✹ A 53-year-old inmate died after he was found unresponsi­ve in his cell Monday morning at High Desert State Prison, about 30 miles north of Las Vegas.

Medical staff responded after Francisco Grace was found, but he was later pronounced dead, according to the Department of Correction­s.

Grace was committed in December 2012 and was serving a four-to-10 year sentence for robbery. The Clark County coroner will determine his cause and manner of death.

The department could not Grace’s next of kin and asks anyone with informatio­n on his family to call 775-887-3309.

Police are asking for the public’s help identifyin­g a suspect in a shooting that left a man dead in an SUV in front of the Devonshire Apartments in the southeast valley Monday.

The suspect is described as a tall black man with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a light jacket and dark pants.

Just before 10 a.m. Monday officers were dispatched to investigat­e a suspicious vehicle. They found a man in the car who appeared to have been shot. The victim, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.

No arrests have been made. Police released surveillan­ce video of the man and the shooting. In it, the suspect paces the sidewalk of the apartment complex before walking to an SUV.

The man pulls what appears to be a firearm from his jacket pocket, aims toward the vehicle and fires. He then leaves on foot.
