Marc-andre Fleury has been in many battles over the years against the Flyers and to get win No. 400 in the Flyers’ building helped make the night more special. “It’s always fun to win here,” Fleury said. “There’s always good energy and it’s a tough place to win.”

The Knights have had more than their fair share of injuries and they thought they had lost another forward when Tomas Nosek left after blocking a shot midway through the first period. But Nosek eventually returned and it allowed coach Gerard Gallant to roll four lines until late, when he opted to shorten his bench.

Flyers rookie center Nolan Patrick, the second player taken in last year’s entry draft, would like to put Monday behind him. He was leveled in the Knights’ zone by Pierre-edouard Bellemare in the second period and was woozy getting back to the bench. Patrick returned and was robbed late in the period on a onetimer that Fleury got in front of.
