Lillard, Trail Blazers upend Heat for 10th victory in row

- The Associated Press

PORTLAND, Ore. — Damian Lillard had 32 points and 10 assists as the Portland Trail Blazers beat the Miami Heat 115-99 on Monday for their 10th straight victory.

Jusuf Nurkic added 27 points and 16 rebounds for the Blazers, who have the NBA’S longest current win streak and a twogame lead over Oklahoma City for the Western Conference’s No. 3 seed.

The Heat used an 18-2 run to start the fourth quarter to trim a 19-point deficit to three, but Lillard took charge for the Blazers, just as he has throughout the win streak.

The All-star guard broke Portland’s drought of more than five minutes with a 3-pointer midway through the period to put Portland back in front by six, and the Blazers stayed safely ahead from there.

Lillard, who leads the league in second-half scoring, tallied 21 points after halftime.

At Houston, James Harden scored 16 of his 28 points in the third quarter after missing Houston’s previous game with a sore left knee. San Antonio, which was without top scorer Lamarcus Aldridge (sore right knee), lost for the fifth time in six games.

At Oklahoma City, Russell Westbrook had 17 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds in his 20th triple-double of the season and 99th of his career for Oklahoma City, which moved into fourth place in the West.

At Memphis, Tenn., Brandon Jennings had 16 points, 12 assists and eight rebounds a day after signing a 10-day contract with Milwaukee, which dealt Memphis its 18th straight loss.

Rockets 109, Spurs 93 — Thunder 106, Kings 101 — Bucks 121, Grizzlies 103 —
