Sharks lead Ducks 2-0
Game 1: Sharks 3, Ducks 0 — At Anaheim, Calif., Evander Kane scored two goals in his first career playoff game and Martin Jones made 25 saves as San Jose beat Anaheim 3-0 on Thursday night. Brent Burns also scored and captain Joe Pavelski had two assists during a three-goal second period to help the Sharks easily take early control in the series between California rivals.
Game 2: Sharks 3, Ducks 2 — At Anaheim, Calif., Logan Couture had a goal and an assist, Martin Jones made 28 saves and San Jose excelled on the road again, beating Anaheim on Saturday night to take a 2-0 lead in their first-round playoff series. Marcus Sorensen and Tomas Hertl also scored for the Sharks, who gave another disciplined, organized performance while moving halfway to their first playoff series victory since their Stanley Cup Final run in 2016.
