MAN Accused of robbing Bank of America Branches

-

A multiagency task force on Thursday arrested a man suspected of robbing two Las Vegas Valley banks at gunpoint earlier this week.

Robert Litheredge,

58, was arrested at a property on the 5000 block of North Boulder Highway in Las Vegas early in the day. He was booked into the Henderson Detention Center, where he faces one count each of robbery with a deadly weapon, burglary while possessing a gun or deadly weapon and possession of a gun by a prohibited person.

Police accuse Litheredge of robbing two Bank of America branches — one at 2638 W. Horizon Ridge Parkway and another at 4080 W. Spring Mountain Road at gunpoint Tuesday. He last saw her before she went to the school near East Sahara and South Eastern avenues that day, and his other daughter, Erica Taylor, last saw her between 2 and 4 p.m. that afternoon when she tried to pick her up at the school.

Taelor was walking with Erica before saying she forgot something in the school, turned around and never came back, her father said.

“I just wanna make sure my daughter’s safe,” Damon Key said Friday.

The Metropolitan Police Department took a missing person’s report for her about 9:30 a.m. Monday, spokesman Aden Ocampogomez said.

She had run away from home at least once before, and officers didn’t expect foul play, Ocampogomez said.

Anybody with information on Taelor can call Metro’s missing person lines at 702-828-2907 or 702-828-3111.
