Blue Jays 13-4, Indians 11-13 — At Cleveland, Erik Gonzalez had four RBIS to help Adam Plutko (1-0) win his first major league start in the second game. In the opener, Yangervis Solarte hit a go-ahead grand slam in the 11th inning for Toronto and finished 8-for-10 with seven RBIS in the doublehead­er.

Rangers 11, Red Sox 5 — At Arlington, Texas, Nomar Mazara hit a threerun homer and a two-run double, his third straight game with a home run, helping hand former Cy Young Award winner David Price (2-4) his third straight loss.

Royals 10, Tigers 6 — At Kansas City, Mo., Lucas Duda had three hits and four RBIS, and Salvador Perez, Jorge Soler and Alex Gordon homered for Kansas City, which totaled 13 hits — including five in 1 2/3 innings off reliever Chad Bell (0-1). two run-scoring wild pitches during Los Angeles’ four-run eighth as the Dodgers dealt Arizona its first two-game skid this season and halted the Diamondbac­ks’ string of winning nine straight series.

Braves 11, Mets 0 — At New York, Julio Teheran (2-1) held New York hitless into the seventh, ultimately allowing two hits over seven shutout innings, and Ronald Acuna Jr., Kurt Suzuki, Nick Markakis and Ozzie Albies homered as Atlanta capped a three-game sweep and grabbed the NL East lead.

Nationals 3, Pirates 1 — At Washington, Trea Turner and Ryan Zimmerman homered in the sixth to break a scoreless tie and back Jeremy Hellickson and four Washington relievers, who combined on a five-hitter, as the Nationals capped a four-game sweep.
