Nationals 3, Diamondbac­ks 1 — At Phoenix, Max Scherzer (7-1) struck out 11 and hit an RBI double while holding his former team to one run on four hits over seven innings, and Trea Turner hit a leadoff home run off rookie Matt Koch (2-1).

Reds 6, Dodgers 2 — At Los

Angeles, Scooter Gennett went 4-for-5 with a home run and three RBIS, and Matt Harvey shut out Los Angeles on one hit and no walks and struck out two over four innings in his Cincinnati debut as the Reds won their fourth straight.

Pirates 11, Giants 2 — At Pittsburgh, Max Moroff hit a three-run homer, and Starling Marte, Josh Bell and Jose Osuna each hit a two-run shot for Pittsburgh in Andrew Mccutchen’s return to PNC Park. The five-time All-star went 1-for-5 with a double.

Cardinals 9, Padres 5 — At San Diego, Paul Dejong homered and drove in a career-high four runs, and Durango product Tommy Pham, Jedd Gyorko, Marcell Ozuna and Harrison Bader also homered to back Luke Weaver (3-2), who shut out San Diego over five innings.

Brewers 11, Rockies 10 — At

Denver, Manny Pina hit a tying two-run homer with two outs in the ninth off closer Wade Davis, and Travis Shaw delivered a two-out RBI single in the 10th off Jake Mcgee (0-2) to rally Milwaukee.

Marlins 6, Braves 3 — At Miami, J.T. Realmuto doubled and scored in the first, homered in the third and singled home a run in the fourth for Miami, which halted its four-game skid and Atlanta’s threegame win streak.
