Broncos LB critical of Trump anthem stance

-

Denver Broncos linebacker Brandon Marshall, who knelt during the national anthem before eight games in 2016 and in Week 3 last season, had a strong response to President Donald Trump’s support of the NFL’S new anthem policy.

Marshall, a Cimarron-memorial product, called Trump’s support “disgusting, because of our

First Amendment rights. We have freedom of speech, right? Freedom to protest? Because somebody decides to protest something, now we have to be kicked out of the country? That’s not how things should work.”

Cowboys: Wide receiver Terrance Williams told police he was not in the vehicle when his car crashed into a light pole last week, claiming his friend Kendall Wright, a Minnesota wide receiver, was behind the wheel at the time of the incident.

Bills: Wide receiver Zay Jones underwent knee surgery last week and will miss the rest of Buffalo’s spring practices, said coach Sean Mcdermott, who did not provide a timetable for Jones’ return.

Colts: Coach Frank Reich isn’t fazed that quarterback Andrew Luck, who missed the 2017 season after shoulder surgery, has refrained from throwing during organized team activities.

49ers: One day after felony domestic charges against him were dropped, linebacker Reuben Foster joined San Francisco for its offseason program.
