Astros 13, Athletics 5 — At Oakland, Calif., Evan Gattis hit two home runs, including the first of back-to-back shots with Marwin Gonzalez during a seven-run second inning, and streaking Houston won its seventh straight.

Mariners 8, Angels 6 — At Seattle, Mitch Haniger hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to give Seattle a sweep of its three-game series with Los Angeles. The Mariners have won 11 of their last 13 games.

Red Sox 5, Orioles 1 — At Baltimore, Chris Sale took a two-hitter into the seventh inning before being ejected, and Boston completed a three-game sweep of Baltimore. It was Sale’s second career ejection.

Rays 1, Blue Jays 0 — At St. Petersburg, Fla., Matt Duffy’s RBI single with two outs in the ninth drove in the game’s only run as Tampa Bay completed a three-game sweep of Toronto.

White Sox 3, Indians 2 — At Chicago, Dylan Covey (3-1) carried a shutout into the eighth inning, continuing his impressive June and helping Chicago White beat Trevor Bauer (5-5) and Cleveland.

Tigers 5, Twins 2 — At Detroit, Victor Reyes’s RBI single keyed a four-run eighth inning and Detroit rallied to win for just the fourth time in 11 games. Lorenzo Cain homered and Jhoulys Chacin combined with three relievers on a sixhitter to give Milwaukee shut out Chicago for the second straight game.

Rockies 7, Phillies 2 — At Philadelph­ia, Ian Desmond hit a two-run homer in a five-run fourth inning, Tyler Anderson (4-1) pitched seven strong innings and Colorado ended a five-game losing streak.

Braves 2, Mets 0 — At Atlanta,

Mike Soroka (2-1) did not allow a hit until the seventh inning, Freddie Freeman homered and drove in both runs, and Atlanta handed New York its 10th loss in 11 games.

Padres 4, Cardinals 2 — At St.

Louis, Eric Lauer (3-4) carried a shutout into the sixth inning, Manuel Margot had three hits and San Diego won its fifth straight series.

Marlins 5, Giants 4 — At Miami, Brian Anderson hit a game-ending sacrifice fly in the ninth inning to help Miami win three straight games for the first time since winning four in a row April 28-May 1.
